Building on the success of their first album Slowburn, in October 2007 Anemo released the attention grabbing single Pray as a prelude to their then forthcoming second album. A year later, the album Stentorian – aiming to capture the energy of the band’s live performances – was released. Pray was the opening track.

With their shared passion for different types of music the pair began to turn out songs together. Songs that would become the genesis of a band.

SuperSet featuring Ammp
Originally formed as a high school band at St. Patrick’s College, Wellington, New Zealand, Andy Masseurs, Matt Powell and Andrew Richardson made a big impression early on by winning the Battle Of The Bands competition and Masseurs and Powell later won a top 5 spot out of 500 entrants for a television show. After that, Richardson returned and Jason Murphy arrived on bass and they took the name Ammp. They have released a string of successful singles reaching as high as #26 in the NZ airplay charts.

Four piece band Skipping Girl Vinegar are named after a heritage sign which advertised, believe it or not, a brand of vinegar featuring a skipping girl on the label. Formed in 2006 the Melbourne-based band’s debut single One Chance was the Australian iTunes ’single of the week’ when released in August 2007.
